I'm running 0.800mV at 1845MHz but it's running everything at 1860MHz, also have a +498 on the Memory Clock which puts it bang on even at 10K just to satisfy my OCD. As if it's adaptive and clocks itself higher if it can? I have also noticed that sometimes when you set say 1845, it tends to run at 1860 or sometimes if I'm playing a game it'll go even more. Yeah I just meant the actual intervals, like mine are 1945, 1960, 1975, 1980, 1995, 2010, 2025, 2040 etc yours seem to be 5 different to mine and just wondering why. It might be fine to use as a measure for before/ after though. Personally I don't put much trust in Userbenchmark, since they have been on the hook for having a botched scoring system. My overclock works fine in rasterazation titles, but with raytracing it completely screws the pooch. Obviously, try games in which is doesn't matter if you lose some progress due to a crash -)Īlso, some games are more forgiving than others. Also, that way you can enjoy youself while also keeping an eye out for stuttering, artefacts or crashes. I like to test by gaming, because it's a real, changing load. If you have maxed out both of these, you can either run a longer test to see if the OC stays stable (OCCT is a good option for that) or you can test manually by gaming. Repeat for both the memory and core clocks. When that crashes, go back to the previous stable setting. I do it in small increments, during a heaven benchmark. You'll need to max out the power limit (temp limit rises with it.įor a simple overclock you can keep increasing the memory and core clock. I'm using MSI Afterburner, I like that better than gputweak. Itd be greatly appreciated If anyone could share what settings they are using that will give them great performance while gaming, and/or maybe elaborate on how the Voltage and MC work together with the CC in the Card? I'm not too familiar with Voltage and MC. I have also had successfull benches, but then went to play a game and it will crash at the same settings.Īgain I have not touched Voltage, Memory Clock, or Fan Speeds. I've gone higher with the CC, but can't remember the highest I went before having an unsuccessful bench. I've had good successful benches, and can game nicely at CC:+80/PT: +21. I'm "scared to adjust all the other options because I don't know what they do. I know port royal is a good one but you have to buy that right? I just downloaded Unigine Heavan but haven't tried it yet.įor manual OC'ing, on GPU Tweak I have only adjusted Core Clock, and Power Target. I just use userbenchmark as of right now to test it out. That gives me damn good performance, but I want more lol. I mainly just use the standard one click OC Mode button they have on there. Curious as to some of the settings you guys are using to OC your Rog Strix 3080's? I use GPU TweakII.
